Stacker Tables: Pasting Data

You can paste data into Stacker Tables from Excel, Google Sheets or Airtable.

Pasting your data to use Stacker Tables will allow you to have unlimited amounts of records, real-time updates, and access to Stacker Fields. 

 

Creating a new table:

  1. Click  Manage fields and data
  2. Select Stacker Tables
  3. Select Paste Data from Spreadsheet
  4. Paste data into the pop-up window
  5. Select if your data has a header
  6. Name the table and Import

If pasting from Airtable uncheck First Row is Header because it will not read correctly on your Stacker Table. 

Pasting data into an existing table:

  1. Click  Manage fields and data
  2. Open the table you want to paste data into
  3. Select Add New at the bottom of the page
  4. Highlight the cell, it will appear grey
  5. Paste using keyboard controls (Ctrl+V; Cmd+V)

Note:

It is important that you line up the field on your new Stacker table with the fields in your data source

Paste one value over multiple cells:

You can copy a value from one cell and paste it into multiple cells:
  1. Click  Manage fields and data 
  2. Select a cell and use keyboard controls to copy (Ctrl+C; Cmd+C)
  3. Select the cells to paste the data
  4. Paste using keyboard controls (Ctrl+V; Cmd+V)

Troubleshooting tips:

  • If all data is in one cell, double check the cell is grey before pasting it to the table
  • If cells are empty under dropdown fields, double check the options match your inputs
  • You cannot paste over 1000 records
